  My wife just told me to move out...

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

  Stay put. Do NOT leave the marital home or give up your bed. She knows how you feel about "the Truth" so there is no need to harp on it. Let things settle, assure her of your love, and take it from there. I know you desperately want her to see TTATT but shoving it down her throat will not work and will give her the "spiritual endangerment" card to play. Be calm and let things unfold the way they're going to. Positive vibes to you, Leslie

  I am like Dr. Leo Marvin in "What about Bob"

  a few days ago i watch the old bill murray movie "what about bob" with my family and realized that i'm in the same situation as dr. leo marvin (played by richard dreyfus).

  for those who have never seen this movie, dr. marvin is a psychiatrist who is unable to shake off an obsessed patient who manages to track him down during his family vacation.

  the patient befriends the family who see him like a charming man, when in fact he is driving dr. leo crazy.

  Cobalt Cupcake: I so totally agree about "The Village". Their whole life was a sham, and they also had fear to keep them from straying from their life at the village. They were trapped. -Leslie

  i was just thinking the other day how small our family is now that we aren't jw's.

  we are thankful that we at least have our children!

  my husband lost his mom and dad and only sister and her husband and all their children.

  That sweet, tingling feeling...

  that sweet, tingling feeling you get, no matter how hard life is at the time, when you remember that you're free.

  that feeling reminds you that it's okay to not be sure about everything and it's okay to love persons even if they don't read the same literature or hold the same views as you.. it's okay to make mistakes because the people who love you will not pull back their love and association because of it.. the persons who are around you genuinely love you and are not just trying to portray 'love' because it looks good to 'potential' sheep.. it's even okay to try new things and it isn't a bad thing when you're actually enjoying life.. i don't have to try to be someone that i'm not and my worth is not, not.... my worth is not measured by a number on a piece of paper.. i can go through life at my own pace and i can be different.. that feeling reminds me that i can be myself!.

  i know that you get that feeling also.

  MsGrowingGirl20, Congratulations on your sweet enjoyment of freedom. I do believe that being free to be oneself is a very precious gift. Isn't it wonderful to have real friends who love us the way we are and not because we distort our personality to fit someone else's idea of who we should be. You have come so far. Leslie

  Foreign Brother giving the concluding prayer asked that we be forgiven our "fallen shorts" instead of being forgiven where we "fall short". Muffled giggling could be heard throughout the KH. At least there was the occasional entertainment at the meeting.

  This brought back memories. We had a brother in our hall (his first language wasn't English) and he would misread Gentile as Genital. Did make for some funny moments.

  so where do you start?.

  i've been reading peoples experiences for several months now trying to figure out what i want to say but how do you put your whole life into a few words?.

  i was a born in but have been happy and free for 5 years and luckily for me my husband felt the same way and we have freed our children from being brainwashed.

  i always knew as a kid tt wasnt for me.

  i did not know ttatt but how could something thats supposed to be warm, loving and beneficial feel so wrong?
